A Myanmar group of academics consisting of eleven individuals attended the recent FERCAP (Forum for Ethical Review Committees in Asia and the Western Pacific) meeting that was held in Taipei, November 18-21, 2018. Professors Khin Mar Myint and Khin Thet Wai gave presentations of their abstracts, the poster abstract regarding the Research Ethics Committee (REC) at the Department of Medical Research (DMR) received the best poster award, and the DMR received FERCAP recognition for their REC at the closing ceremony.
